Configure your Cognos Analytics environment with an SMTP server

To use IBM Cognos® Analytics Mobile, your IBM® Cognos Analytics environment must be configured with an SMTP Server.

All Cognos Analytics users that will be using the Cognos Analytics Mobile application must have an email address configured for them with their authentication provider.
  1. Launch IBM Cognos Configuration. For more information, see Configuration options.
  2. In the left pane, navigate to Data Access > Notification.
  3. Add the configurations for the SMTP mail server that you want to use.
  4. Save your configuration.
  5. Restart Cognos Analytics.
