Saved report output versions are not available for import
On the Select Report Properties page of the Import Content wizard, under Report Version, the Select a specific output version option is disabled. To make the report output versions available for import, the report author or administrator must have configured the necessary report property in the business intelligence studio in which the report was saved.
About this task
Your administrator must manually set this option, as described in the following procedure, for every IBM® Cognos® Analytics report version that requires access from IBM Cognos for Microsoft Office.
Procedure
- In IBM Cognos Connection, locate the entry item that is the report whose saved versions you want to view or import.
- In the Actions column, click the Set Properties button for the entry.
- On the Report tab, expand Advanced Options, select the Enable enhanced user features in saved output versions check box, and click OK.
- Recreate the report output versions for the report.
Results
The saved report output versions are available for import from the Import Content wizard.
Your administrator can also specify how long to keep report output. For example, the administrator can keep report output for a specific number of runs or for a specific number of days or months. For more information, see the IBM Cognos Connection User Guide.
Depending on the properties set for the report versions, each time that you use the Refresh All Data command, you either view an output version of the report or update the imported report with the most recent data. For more information, see View or run report output versions.
