Use the namespace drop down to choose the request template set. The namespaces are described in the Request Templates help section.

Use the request template drop down to select a request template to use to build your request to Content Manager.

Checking the View SOAP Request box will put CMTester in advanced mode. CMTester will display the fully rendered SOAP request and allow you to manipulate the HTTP header. When this box is checked the HTTP Header button will appear on the top right of CMTester. Clicking this button opens the HTTP header customization dialog.

Checking the Hold Locks(ms) check box will enable the text field next to it. The value supplied in this field instructs Content Manager to hold the locks for this request on the server for the specified length of time before returning the response.

Checking the Benchmark check box will enable the text field next to it. The value supplied in this field defines a label or context which will be used when Content Manager collects profiling information. Content Manager only collects profiling information when it is in benchmarking mode, controlled by the CM.CMSERVERBENCHMARKING advanced setting.

Clicking the Options button will open the options dialog which can be used to set the soapaction and the userPreferenceVars.

Clicking the Send button will prompt you for the parameters contained in the request and send the request to Content Manager. The Sending Requests to Content Manager section covers this in greater detail.
