CAM-CRP-1315 error when saving configuration

This error might occur when you save your configuration after the trust domain in your environment was changed.

Here's the full text of the error message:
CAM-CRP-1315 Current configuration points to a different Trust Domain than originally configured.

The trust domain is managed by the certificate authority associated with the content store. If you remove the content store that was originally used, or if you change your configuration to use a different content store after you saved your original configuration, the error occurs.

To resolve the problem, change your configuration to use the original content store, or regenerate the cryptographic keys using the following steps:

Procedure

  1. On the computer that reports the error, start IBM® Cognos® Configuration.
  2. Stop the IBM Cognos service.
  3. Click File > Export As.
  4. Choose Yes when prompted, and save the file to the install_location\configuration directory naming the file backup.xml, for example.
Note: For Linux or Unix, without a GUI, run the following command from the bin64 directory: ./cogconfig.sh -e ../configuration/export.xml.
  5. Close IBM Cognos Configuration without saving the configuration.
  6. On the Content Manager computer, back up the following files and directories to a different, secure location:
    • /configuration/csk
    • /configuration/cogstartup.xml
    • /configuration/caSerial (not available starting with Cognos Analytics 11.2.4)
    • /configuration/certs/CAMCrypto.status
    • /configuration/certs/CAMKeystore
    • /configuration/certs/CAMKeystore.lock
    • /temp/cam/freshness
  7. In the install_location\configuration directory, rename the backup file that you created in step 4 to cogstartup.xml.
  8. Open IBM Cognos Configuration, save the configuration, and start the services.
  9. Repeat the steps on all computers where the Cognos Analytics server components are installed.
  10. In IBM Cognos Configuration, save the configuration, and restart the services.
