Floating bar

Use a floating bar visualization to display the minimum and maximum value of your data.

The series of the chart does not connect to an axis but next to the axis, which views as floating.

Floating bar visualizations use horizontal data markers to compare individual values. You can use floating bar visualizations to compare discrete data or to show trends over time.

A floating bar visualization can show changes over a specific time period. If the visualization has so many bars that the labels are impossible to read, filter the data to focus on a subset of the data or use a tree map.

For example, this floating bar visualization shows the claim amount range per month.

  • Drag Premiums over claim onto the y-start field.

Use the y-start field to define where the measure must start.
