Table

Use a table to show detailed information from your database, such as product lists and customer lists. A table shows data in rows and columns. Each column shows all the values for a data item in the database or a calculation based on data items in the database.

To re-create this table visualization, perform the following steps:

  1. From a dashboard, click the Visualizations icon Visualizations icon, and in the System tab of the Visualizations pane, select Table.
  2. Click the Sources icon Sources icon, click the Select a source button, and in the Select a source window go to Samples > By industry > Insurance > Data, and open Customer analysis data module.
  3. Click the Select a source button in the Data pane, in the Select a source window go to Samples > By industry > Insurance > Data. Select the Customer analysis data module and click Add.
  4. Drag the following data sets onto the Columns field:
    • State
    • Gender
    • Income
    Note: You can also drag a data set onto the visualization and place it at a column position that is indicated by blue line.
  5. If you work with Cognos Analytics release 12.0.3 or later, you can resize table columns.
