Table
Use a table to show detailed information from your database, such as product lists and customer lists. A table shows data in rows and columns. Each column shows all the values for a data item in the database or a calculation based on data items in the database.
The following image shows an example of a table visualization.
To re-create this table visualization, perform the following steps:
- From a dashboard, click the Visualizations icon , and in the System tab of the Visualizations pane, select Table.
- Click the Sources icon , click the Select a source button, and in the Select a source window go to Samples > By industry > Insurance > Data, and open Customer analysis data module.
- Click the Select a source button in the Data pane, in the Select a source window go to Samples > By industry > Insurance > Data. Select the Customer analysis data module and click Add.
- Drag the following data sets onto the Columns field:
- State
- Gender
- Income
Note: You can also drag a data set onto the visualization and place it at a column position that is indicated by blue line. -
If you work with Cognos Analytics release 12.0.3 or later, you can resize table columns.
