Use the data table properties to customize the table appearance and
functionality.
You can specify formatting for individual column titles or bodies, or for the whole data table.
When you specify formatting for the whole table, the formatting is automatically applied to new
columns that are added later.
About this task
The properties can be specified in the Page design or Page
preview view.
Procedure
- Select an object in the data table for which you want to specify properties. To select
the whole table, click the upper-left corner of the table.

In the application bar, click the Show properties icon .
The properties pane is opened.
Depending on the object that you select, the related properties are shown in the properties pane.
Read the title at the top of the properties pane to be sure that you're viewing properties for the
expected object.
You can also click the Select ancestor icon in the title bar of the properties pane, and click the related item in the list of objects
to view their properties.
- Specify the properties as required.
If you're unsure what some properties mean, click the property name and read its description at
the bottom of the properties pane.
