Adding custom points or regions to a map

You can enhance IBM® Cognos® Analytics maps by adding custom point or region information from Mapbox to them. You do this by adding a layer on the map to display the additional information.

Before you begin

You must have created a tileset in Mapbox that contains the custom region or point data that you want to add to the map. The tileset that Mapbox generates has the following properties. You must have these values ready to configure in your map:
  • Map ID
  • Layer name
  • Property name

Procedure

  1. Click New, and then click Report.
  2. In the Templates and themes window, click Blank, and then click OK.
  3. On the canvas, click the Pinned icon pinned items icon, and then click Visualization.
  4. In the Visualization gallery, click Map, and then click OK.
  5. In the left pane, click the Add report data icon pinned items icon, select report data that contains region or point data.
