Configuring SFTP and uploading content
SFTP is used for transferring content to and from a Cognos® Analytics on Cloud Hosted instance.
Use the following steps to configure SFTP and upload content into the Cognos Analytics server directories.
- Generate the SSH keys.
For more information, see Generating SSH keys on Windows or Generating SSH keys on Linux and Mac.
- Provide the public key to IBM.
The key can be included with the onboarding case, or submitted to IBM with as SRE request. For more information, see Step 6: SFTP.
- Create an SFTP connection to the Cognos Analytics Cloud instance.
You'll need the private key for the connection. For more information, see Creating an SFTP connection to the Cognos Analytics server.
- Use SFTP to transfer content.
You can transfer content between the on-premises and cloud environments, or between the cloud environments (nonproduction and production). For more information, see Uploading content.
