If an uninstall is unsuccessful, files, registry entries, and services may remain that
should have been deleted. This topic provides guidelines for both Easy and Custom
installations.
Procedure
-
For an Easy, first install:
- Remove Informix by executing the Informix uninstall command:
install_location\informix\bin\ifxdeploy.exe -u install_location\informix -delifx
- Remove the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Informix\Online\ol_cognoscm
- Remove the installation folder
install_location
- If this is the only InstallAnywhere-based install on your machine, you can remove the
InstallAnywhere registry file: %PROGRAM FILES%\Zero G
Registry\.com.zerog.registry.xml
- For all other installations:
- Remove the installation folder
install_location
- If this is the only InstallAnywhere-based install on your machine, you can remove the
InstallAnywhere registry file :
On Windows (hidden directory): %PROGRAM FILES%\Zero G
Registry\.com.zerog.registry.xml
On UNIX: registry file:
.com.zerog.registry.xml located:
- If logged in as root, the global registry is located in /var
- If logged in as a user, it is located in the user’s home directory.
If you are not sure about the status of InstallAnywhere installations, you can simply rename this
file in order to keep a copy of it.
