List
Use a list to create a hierarchical overview of data.
You can use a list visualization as a filter widget.
The following image shows an example of using a list as a filter widget.
To re-create this example of using a list as a filter widget for other visualizations, perform
the following steps:
- From a dashboard, click the Visualizations icon and in the System tab of the Visualizations pane, select List.
- Click the Select a source button in the Data pane, and in the Select a source window go to Samples/By industry/Insurance/Data. Select the Customer analysis data module and click Add.
- Drag the Location Type and Gender data sets onto the Level one field.
- Click the Visualizations icon and in the pane, select Bar.
- Drag the following data sets onto the indicated fields in bar visualization:
- Location Type onto the Bars field.
- Income onto the Length field.
- Click the Visualizations icon and in the pane, select Column.
- Drag the following data sets onto the indicated fields in column visualization:
- Gender onto the Bars field.
- Total Claim Amount onto the Length field.
- Select the list visualization and click F under Rural.
