Bar
Use a bar visualization to compare values by one or more bars.
In bar visualizations, you can use thick line markers that indicate expected or assumed values for bars that are known as targets.
If it is impossible to read labels, because of a high number of bars, filter your data to focus on a subset of the data or use a tree map.
The following image shows an example of a bar visualization.
To re-create this visualization, complete the following steps:
- From a dashboard, click the Visualizations icon and in the System tab of the Visualizations pane, select Bar.
- Click the Select a source button in the Data pane, and in the Select a source window go to Samples/By industry/Insurance/Data. Select the Customer analysis data module and click Add.
- Drag the following data sets to the indicated fields:
- State onto the Bars field.
- Maximum range onto the Length field.
- Target onto the Target field.
The following animation demonstrates the previous steps.
