Unresolved column references in data sets that were created or refreshed in 11.1.7.0

Cognos Analytics 11.1.7.0 data sets generate schema information where the column names are not consistent with those used in previous releases. This error is resolved in 11.1.7 FP1.

If you upgraded to 11.1.7 FP1 after creating or refreshing a data set in 11.1.7.0

Scenario: You upgrade to 11.1.7 FP1 after either

  • creating a data set in 11.1.7.0

    OR

  • refreshing, in 11.1.7.0, a data set that had been created in an earlier release

In this scenario, a dashboard or report that references the 11.1.7.0 data set may show this error message:

Identifier not found 'name'.

where name is a column name in the data set.

Solution:

If you upgraded to 11.1.7 FP1 but did not create or refresh a data set in 11.1.7.0

You do not need to take any action.

Note: Column names are correctly resolved if you
  • upgrade to 11.1.7 FP1 or later from any version other than 11.1.7
  • create a data set in 11.1.7 FP1
