Changing the axis

You can change the axis by rotating the axis labels, adjusting the scale of the axes to include or exclude zero, and showing or hiding the names of columns that appear in the axis titles.

Procedure

  1. Click the Properties icon.

    If you don't see the Properties icon, click the Switch to edit icon.

  2. On the Visualizations tab open the Axis section.
  3. Complete one or more of the following actions:
    Goal Actions
    Set the item axis label orientation Select an option from the Item axis label orientation menu:
    • Automatic
    • Horizontal
    • Vertical
    • Rotate 45 degree
    • Stagger
    Exclude the zero from the axis scale. Clear the Show zero origin check box.
    Maintain the axis scale Use the option Maintain axis scale when you want to maintain the axis scale the same if you for example apply a filter.
    Hide the column headings in both axes. Clear the Show axis titles check box.
    Hide the column heading in the axis that shows measures, such as revenue, quantity sold, or profit. Clear the Show value axis title check box.
    Hide the column heading in the axis that shows items, such as years, products, or customers. Clear the Show item axis title check box.
    Specify the title of the item axis. Type a title in the Item axis title field.
    Specify the title of the value axis. Type a title in the Value axis title field.
    Swap the axis. Use the option Transpose.
