Adding widget animations
Widget animations can enhance your stories by directing and focusing your audience's attention to key information at the right time. You can add widget animations easily in IBM Cognos Analytics using different widget animation types.
About this task
You can add widget animations to the beginning or the end of a widget in your scene's timeline. These animations are called Entrance and Exit animations.
Note:
- If you are adding an Entrance animation to your widget, ensure that the widget is not at the beginning of your scene's timeline. If your widget is at the beginning of your scene's timeline, you can drag the widget to the right, away from the beginning of the scene.
- If you are adding an Exit animation to your widget, ensure that the widget is not at the end of your scene's timeline. If your widget is at the end of your scene's timeline, you can add another widget to the scene. Adding a widget at the end of the timeline ensures that the new widget's end duration is later than the one you want to add an animation to.
