Programs will have to be changed to define unique condition-names, as follows:

SPECIAL-NAMES.
  UPSI-0  ON STATUS IS T0  OFF STATUS IS F0
  UPSI-1  ON STATUS IS T1  OFF STATUS IS F1
⋮
  UPSI-7  ON STATUS IS T7  OFF STATUS IS F7

and to reference the new condition-names, as follows:

IF T0 DISPLAY "UPSI-0".
IF T1 DISPLAY "UPSI-1".
⋮
IF T7 DISPLAY "UPSI-7".
