MongoDB file system

The MongoDB file system supports sequential, indexed, and relative files.

The implementation of the MongoDB file system ensures that each COBOL operation is committed to the database so that no transactional or other database semantics show through to the COBOL program.

The mongo command-line utility provides administrative functions for MongoDB files. See MongoDB.

Restriction: MongoDB files cannot be used in Generation Data Groups (GDGs).
