Updating a data distribution file

About this task

You can make changes to the contents of a data distribution file and change the description of the file.

Procedure

  1. Select and expand the library server.
  2. Select Files.
  3. In the Name list, right-click the distribution file that you want to update.
  4. From the pop-up menu, select Update to open the Update a File window.
  5. In the Information field, optionally update descriptive information about the distribution file.
  6. In the File Sections area, add and remove items:
    • For example, to add a user, select Users and click Add to open the Add a User window. Expand the User ID list to display all of the users defined on the library server. Select the userid from the list. Optionally type a password for the user. Click OK to add the user and close the User window. The userid is listed in the Users section.
    • To remove an item, select, and if necessary, expand the section. Select the item and click Remove. To remove all of the items in a section, select the section and click Remove.

    Important: When you update the Customized Font Mappings section, Content Manager OnDemand replaces any customized font mapping files that might exist on the server.

  7. When you have finished making changes, click OK to save the distribution file in the database. Click Cancel to close the Distribution window without saving your changes.
