Output Information (PDF)

Use to maintain parameters that are related to the index data that is created by the indexing program.

Parameters

Coordinates (Metrics)
Identifies the metrics used for the x and y coordinates in the FIELD and TRIGGER parameters. Select from IN (inches), CM (centimeters), and MM (millimeters). See the COORDINATES parameter in the Indexing Reference for more information.
Resource Collection
Determines whether you want the PDF indexer to collect PDF resources.
Index File Characteristics (Find Index By Page)
Determines the page number by which the indexing program must locate the first document within the input data. The first document is identified when all of the triggers and fields are found. See the INDEXSTARTBY parameter in the Indexing Reference for more information. The default value is 1 (page one of the input data). The indexing program fails if it does not find the first document on or before the specified page number.
Output Hexadecimal Strings
If you select this checkbox, all of the strings in the Trigger, Index, and Field parameters are displayed in hexadecimal format. You must use this option when the Trigger characters cannot be represented in the local code page of the administrative client. In this case, the Trigger characters are generated in hexadecimal format.
Directories (Temporary Directory)
Determines the name of the directory that the indexing program uses for temporary work space. If you do not specify a value, then the indexing program uses /arstmp (UNIX) or C:\TEMP (Windows). See the TEMPDIR parameter in the Indexing Reference for more information.
Directories (Font Directories)
Identifies the directory or directories in which fonts are stored. If a font is referenced in an input file but the font is not imbedded in the file, then the indexing program attempts to locate the font in the specified directory or directories. You can specify any valid path. The indexing program searches for fonts in the order in which you specify the paths. See the FONTLIB parameter in the Indexing Reference for more information.
