A list of all user names defined to Content Manager OnDemand. When you want to create
a logical view for a specific user, you must add the user name to the Users
with Logical Views list.
Users with Logical Views
A list of the users that can have private logical views. The *PUBLIC entry
is for public logical views. Public logical views are for all users that can
access the application.
User
Define logical views for the user name that is listed in this field. Click
the arrow to the right of the user name to select a name from the list. Define
the logical view information. Then choose the Add a View command to create
the logical view for the user. Select *PUBLIC to define a public logical view.
Defined Views
A list of the logical views defined for the name that is listed in the
User field. When you add or remove logical views, Content Manager OnDemand updates the Defined
Views list. To update a logical view, first select the logical view in the
Defined Views list. Then make changes to the logical view. To delete a logical
view, first select the logical view in the Defined Views list. Then click
Remove View.
Name
The name of the logical view. The information in the Defined View Information
area is for the logical view name that is listed in the Name field.
Image Color
For AFP, determines the color that Content Manager OnDemand uses to display the colors
in an image on the page. The default image color, Black, means that Content Manager OnDemand
uses the colors defined in the document to display images. Choose from Black,
Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Magenta, or Cyan.
Image Intensity
For AFP, determines how much intensity Content Manager OnDemand uses to show image data.
Choose from Normal (show the image), Light (show the image with a lighter
shading pattern), and None (do not show the image).
Background Color
For AFP, Line, SCS, SCS-Extended, and Global DJDE, determines the background
color for the body of the page. (The body of the page is everything after
the heading.) Choose from Black, White, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Grey, and
Green Bar (alternating green and white stripes).
Selected Area Color
For AFP, Line, PDF, SCS, SCS-Extended, and Global DJDE, determines the
color with which a selected area is displayed. Choose from Black, White, Red,
Blue, Green, Yellow, and Grey.
Heading Color
For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, determines the background color for the
heading of the page. The heading is the total of the Page Header Rows and
Field Header Rows from the Logical View Fields page. Choose from Background
Color, Black, White, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Grey. If you select Background
Color, then the color used for the heading is the same as the color specified
in the Background Color field.
Overstrike
For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, determines how the client handles the
Suppress Space carriage control character. The choices are:
Separate Lines
A line with a Suppress Space carriage control character is displayed
on a separate line. For example, if the word TOTAL is underlined using the
Suppress Space carriage control character on the next line in the document,
then the word TOTAL is displayed on one line (without the underline characters)
and the underline characters is displayed on the following line. This
is the default overstrike mode.
Merge Lines
If two characters are in the same column position, an alphabetic character
takes precedence over any other characters. For example, if the word TOTAL
is underlined using the Suppress Space carriage control character on the next
line in the document, then the word TOTAL is displayed without the underline
characters.
Overstrike Lines
Enables true overstrike mode. If two characters are in the same column
position, then the second character is displayed on top of the first.
For example, if the word TOTAL is underlined using the Suppress Space carriage
control character on the next line in the document, then the word TOTAL is displayed underlined. When you select Overstrike Lines:
When selecting the text of a document, the client uses the Selection Mode named Area. (If the
user attempts to use the Selection Mode named Text while the Overstrike Mode is set to
Overstrike Lines, the client uses Area anyway.)
When copying text to the clipboard, only the first line is copied to the
clipboard. For example, if the word TOTAL is underlined using the Suppress
Space carriage control character on the next line in the document, then the
line with the word TOTAL is copied to the clipboard (the line with the underline
characters is not copied to the clipboard).
When searching a document, the Find command does not match the result
of the overstrike lines. To locate a text string using the Find command, the
specified text string must exist in one physical line.
The client ignores any column locking, header locking, and field arrangement
that might be specified in a logical view.
When the user prints a document that they are viewing, the client prints
the document using the overstrike mode that is currently in effect.
Text Fidelity
For AFP, Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, determines how Content Manager OnDemand displays
text. Allows you to increase display performance at the expense of text fidelity.
The settings in order of improving performance are:
Character
Positions each character individually.
240-Pel Font Adjustment
Adjusts the position for characters that have been specifically placed
for a 240-pel device.
Word
Positions each word individually.
Line
Positions each line of text individually. This is the default.
Draft
Performs no position adjustment (such as variable spacing, intercharacter
adjustment, and character rotation) and yields minimum fidelity.
Default View
Determines whether the logical view is the default view that Content Manager OnDemand
client programs use to display the document. Each name in the Users with Logical
Views list can have one logical view designated as the default logical view
for the application.
Zoom
Determines the percentage that Content Manager OnDemand client programs enlarge or reduce
a document when the user selects the logical view to display the document.
You can enlarge the page to make it easier to read or reduce the page so that
the user can view the entire page. You can type a whole number from 10 to
2000 (percent).
Copy Group
For AFP, determines the copy group for the document. A copy group is a
portion of a form definition that defines a set of modifications that can
be used when viewing a page. Modifications can include text suppression, form
flash, overlays, and so forth. For certain types of documents, it is possible
to view a page multiple ways. For example, copy group one could be used to
view a replica of a bill sent to the customer while copy group two could be
used to view additional information attached to the bill, but not sent to
the customer.
Lock Header
For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, determines whether Content Manager OnDemand client programs
lock the page and field titles in view when the user scrolls from page to
page in the document. The Content Manager OnDemand client program locks the number of page
and field header rows that you specified on the Logical View Fields page.
Lock Fields
For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, determines the number of logical view
fields that remain in view when the user scrolls the page horizontally. The
maximum number of fields that can be locked is the number of fields defined
in the Field Order field. For example, if the Field Order field contains 1,5,2,3,4,5,
then the maximum number of fields that can be locked in place is six.
Field Order
For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, determines the order in which the logical
view fields appear when an Content Manager OnDemand client program displays the document.
The physical layout of the fields in the document does not matter. Specify
the field order as a string of comma-separated values. For example, 1,5,2,3,4,5.
You can specify one or more of the available Field# values Content Manager OnDemand assigned
to the logical view fields on the Logical View Fields page.
Scale to Gray
For BMP, GIF, JFIF, PCX, PNG, and TIFF, a technique used to enhance image
display quality, by smoothing the edges of jagged lines and text in an image.
Also enables the contrast and brightness controls in the client program.
Contrast
For BMP, GIF, JFIF, PCX, PNG, and TIFF, allows the user to increase or
decrease the range of brightness in an image. The default value is 128; you
can type a whole number from 0 to 255. To enable the contrast control in the
client program, you must select Scale to Gray.
Brightness
For BMP, GIF, JFIF, PCX, PNG, and TIFF, allows the user to brighten or
darken an image. The default value is 128; you can type a whole number from
0 to 255. To enable the brightness control in the client program, you must
select Scale to Gray.
