Changing an expired password

Many Content Manager OnDemand administrators enforce password security by expiring passwords after a certain interval. This forces you to periodically change your password. If you have allowed your password to expire, you can reset it so that you can again log onto Content Manager OnDemand.

To change an expired password:

Procedure

  1. Click File > Change Logon Password.
  2. In the Current Password field, enter your expired password.
  3. In the first New Password field, enter the new password that you have chosen. For security reasons, Content Manager OnDemand displays asterisks ('*') instead of the characters you type.
  4. In the second New Password field, enter your new password again.
  5. Click OK.

What to do next

Content Manager OnDemand asks for the new password twice to make sure that you have not mistyped the password. If the two new passwords do not match, Content Manager OnDemand returns an error message, and you will have to retype the password in both New Password fields.
