Explore

For a server, replaces the current list of items with a list of Content Manager OnDemand object types for the server, such as Users, Groups, Applications, Application Groups, Storage Sets, Folders, Cabinets, Printers, and Holds. (Double-click a server in the list pane performs the same function.)

Logon

Log on to the selected server.

Logon As

If the Content Manager OnDemand system is configured for Unified Logon and you are running the OnDemand Administrator client software, then Content Manager OnDemand attempts to log on to the server using the Windows logon account user name. If the Windows logon account user name exists in the Content Manager OnDemand user table, the unified logon is successful. Otherwise, Content Manager OnDemand opens the Logon window and you must type a valid Content Manager OnDemand userid and password to continue. See the Installation and Configuration Guide for more information about Unified Logon.

If you need to log on to a Windows server with a Content Manager OnDemand userid that is different than the Windows logon account user name, you must use the Logon As command. To access the Logon As command, point to the server and click the right mouse button. If you are currently logged on to the server, you must log off the server before you can select the Logon As command.

Logoff

Logoff the selected server.

System Parameters

Open the System Parameters window for the selected server. The General page helps you specify logging and annotation properties for Content Manager OnDemand clients and servers. The Login Information page helps you specify login properties for Content Manager OnDemand clients and servers.

IBM Software Support instructs you on when to do the following tasks:
  • Select the Activate System Trace checkbox to turn on tracing for the whole system.
  • Enter information in the Trace Parameters entry field.
  • Clear the Activate System Trace checkbox to turn off tracing.

Setup

Initializes the database and creates a default storage set that contains a cache-only storage node on the local server.

When you select a local server, the Setup command is available if the local server has not yet been initialized. Selecting the Setup command causes Content Manager OnDemand to initialize the database and create the storage set.

After initializing the local server, users can log on to the local server. The system creates a default userid named admin with no password.

Delete

Deletes the selected server.
