Defining a logical view header

About this task

Follow these steps to define a logical view header:

Procedure

  1. Select the Logical View Fields tab.
  2. In the Page Header Rows field, type the number of rows that comprise the report heading. The report heading usually appears in the top margin of each page. For example, some headings contain the report's title, the page number, and the date that the report was generated.
  3. In the Field Header Rows field, type the number of rows that comprise the field heading. The field heading usually appears in the top margin of each page, after the report heading. The field heading usually contains the titles of the fields on the page.
  4. In the Validation Row field, type the number of the row that contains the Validation String.
  5. In the Validation Column field, type the number of the column at which point Content Manager OnDemand can locate the beginning of the Validation String.
  6. In the Validation String field, type the character string that Content Manager OnDemand uses to verify that the logical view can be used to display the current page. Only pages that contain the Validation String is displayed with the logical view.
