Defining a logical view

About this task

Follow these steps to define a logical view:

Procedure

  1. Select *PUBLIC or a user name in the User list.
  2. Type the name of the logical view in the Name field.
  3. If you want to display the page using the logical view when the user opens the document, select the Default View checkbox.
  4. For AFP, Line, PDF, SCS, SCS-Extended, and Global DJDE, verify the Selected area color.
  5. For AFP, Line, SCS, SCS-Extended, and Global DJDE, verify the Background color.
  6. For AFP, Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, verify the Text fidelity.
  7. For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, specify the Heading color.
  8. For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, optionally specify the Overstrike mode.
  9. For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, optionally specify one or more field numbers, separated by commas, in the Field Order entry field. The order of the field numbers determines the order that you want the fields to appear when the user views the page. (Define fields on the Logical View Fields page.)
  10. For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, in Lock Fields, optionally type the number of fields that you want to lock in place when the user scrolls the page horizontally. (Define fields on the Logical View Fields page.)
  11. For Line, SCS, and Global DJDE, select the Lock Header checkbox, if you want Content Manager OnDemand to lock the page and field heading in place when the user scrolls from page to page of the report. (Define page and field headings on the Logical View Fields page.)
  12. For AFP, Line, SCS, SCS-Extended, BMP, GIF, PCX, TIFF, PDF, JFIF (JPEG), PNG, and Global DJDE, specify the Zoom.
  13. For AFP, optionally specify a Copy group.
  14. For AFP, verify the Image color and Image intensity.
  15. For BMP, GIF, PCX, JFIF (JPEG), PNG, and TIFF, optionally provide values in the Contrast and Brightness fields and select Scale to gray if needed.
  16. Choose Add View. Content Manager OnDemand places the name of the logical view in the Defined Views lists.

What to do next

To change a logical view, select the name of the logical view in the Defined Views list and make changes in the Defined View Information area. To delete a logical view, select the name of the logical view in the Defined Views list and choose Remove a View.
