Creating a hold summary

Follow these steps to create a hold summary.

Procedure

  1. Select and expand the library server.
  2. Select Holds.
  3. In the Name list, right-click the hold name.
  4. Select Summary from the pop-up menu.
  5. Verify the output File Information, that is, the name of the output file and whether you want Content Manager OnDemand to append the summary to an existing file. You can type the file name or the full path name of a file in the Name field. Choose Append to add the summary to an existing file. To locate an existing file, choose Browse to open the Open window. When you create a summary, the file name that you specify is overwritten if it exists. To save information in an existing file, ensure that you choose the Append option before you choose Create. Content Manager OnDemand does not prompt you before it creates the summary file.
  6. Choose categories of summary information. Choose General (Holds summary), Permissions (Holds summary), or both. If you do not choose a category, Content Manager OnDemand generates a summary that contains the name of the hold.
  7. Click Create. Content Manager OnDemand prepares the summary. When the process completes, Content Manager OnDemand displays the message "Summary has been generated." Click Cancel to interrupt the summary generation process.
  8. Click View to display the summary.
