Defining print options for an ODF distribution

About this task

Provide the following information to define print options for the ODF distribution on z/OS. These options are the default for the values for the distribution. Print options that are defined in the report bundle definition override these options. These fields are ignored on IBM i and Multiplatforms servers.
Destination
The output printer where the spool file is routed. This field is optional. Enter up to 19 bytes. This value is the same as the DEST parameter for JCL.
Writer
Specify the name of the external writer for processing the spool files that are generated for the distribution. This field is optional. Enter up to 8 bytes. This value is the same as the WRITER parameter for JCL.
Forms
Specify the name of a print form to be applied to a spool file when it is output. This value is optional, and you can enter up to 8 bytes. This value is the same as the FORMS parameter for JCL.
Formdef
Specify the form definition, in other words, the library member with form print control data to be applied to spool files that are generated from this distribution. This value is optional, and you can enter up to 8 bytes. This value is the same as the FORMDEF parameter for JCL.
Pagedef
Specify the page definition, that is, the library member with page print control data to be applied to spool files that are generated from this distribution. This value is optional, and you can enter up to 8 bytes. This value is the same as the PAGEDEF parameter for JCL.
Class
Specify the output class for the spool file that is created for each report bundle. This value is the same as the CLASS parameter for JCL.
FCB
Specify the name of a forms control buffer that is defined to control feeding of forms through a printer. This value is optional and you can enter up to 4 bytes of alphanumeric values or $, #, and @. The default value is null. This value is the same as the FCB parameter for JCL.
UCS
Specify the name of a character set for the printer. This value is optional and you can enter up to 4 bytes of alphanumeric values or $, #, and @. This value is the same as the UCS parameter for JCL.
Output Limit
Allows you to specify a maximum number of lines to output. This is particularly useful if you are writing to JES spool files, when writing more than 16777215 lines can cause JES to abend.
Unlimited
ODF does not limit the number of lines and will attempt to write out all lines.
Maximum Lines
If the number of lines in a load exceeds the Maximum Lines value, an error message is issued and the report bundle is not processed. The maximum number of lines can be from 1 to 16777215.
Exit Information
This is a user-defined data field that allows information to be passed to the print processor exits. Enter up to 400 bytes.
