Adding or updating a client

About this task

The Add a Client window allows you to add a client operating environment to the data distribution file. The Update a Client window allows you to add or update clients.

You can use the client program to log on to the local server and access documents included in the data distribution image. To add a client operating environment, select the operating system and one or more languages.

The client programs that you want to add must exist on the PDD server. That is, you must have selected to install the client programs when you installed Content Manager OnDemand on the PDD server. See the PDD Installation and Operation Guide for more information.

Here are some options and commands that you can use:

Operating System
The operating system that runs the client program.
Language
The language of the client program. You can select one or more languages. If you select more than one language, the data distribution image contains the client program and language DLL files for each language. You can add and remove languages with the Update command.
OK
Add or update the client and close the Client window.
Cancel
Close the window without making changes to the client information.
