Logging on to a server

About this task

Use the Logon to Server window to log on to the server you selected.

Dialog Box Options

User ID: The name of the Content Manager OnDemand userid to log on to the server. To log on to an IBM® i server, an IBM i user profile must exist for the User ID.
Password: The password for the Content Manager OnDemand userid. When you log on to an IBM i server, the IBM i security function validates the password against the IBM i user profile.

Commands

OK: Proceed with the logon command.
Cancel: Close the Logon to Server window and not log on the server.
Help: Open the online help for the Logon to Server window.

Results

After you log on to a server, your user ID and the server information are displayed in the lower right corner of the administrative client window. The information is displayed in the format User ID – Server name (Server version number).
