Before you begin
You must be a system
administrator to update a storage set. Note about IBM® i servers: Add, Update,
and Delete operations for storage sets have been disabled on IBM i servers. A storage set
is created, updated, and deleted as the result of actions performed
on the migration policy in IBM Navigator for i. The storage set name
is the same as the migration policy name.
Note: The
administrative client can be used to view storage nodes that were
created during migration from OD/390 V2, OD/390 IAFC, and OD/400 Spool
File Archive.
About this task
Follow these steps to update a storage set:
Procedure
- Select and expand the library
server.
- Select Storage Sets.
- In the Name list, point to the storage set and click the
right mouse button.
- From the pop-up menu, select Update to open the Update
a Storage Set window.
- Review and make changes to the properties of the storage
set. The properties that you cannot change with the Update command
appear shaded (unavailable for input).
- You can change the Name, Description, and Load Type. You
can make changes to the storage nodes defined in the storage set,
add a storage node to the storage set, and remove a storage node from
the storage set.
- When you have finished making updates, click OK in
the Update a Storage Set window. Content Manager OnDemand updates
the database and saves the information in the system log. Click Cancel
to close the Update a Storage Set window without updating the storage
set.
