How to export objects
To export objects from a library server and add them to another library server:
1. In the main administrative client window, select and expand the library server that contains the objects you want to export.
2. Select the area.
3. In the list pane, select one or more objects.
4. Click the right mouse button.
5. From the pop-up menu, select Export to open the Export window.
6. Verify the name of the library server to which you want to add the objects. If you used the Export command to initiate the export operation, you can select a server name from the list.
7. If you want Content Manager OnDemand to export objects even if an error is encountered, select the Ignore Warnings checkbox.
8. If you do not want Content Manager OnDemand to assign a storage set to the application group, select the No Storage Set checkbox.
9. Click Export.
10. If you are not logged on to the destination server, then Content Manager OnDemand opens the Logon to a Server window. Type the userid and password in the spaces provided. Click OK.
11. Content Manager OnDemand processes the objects. The completion status is listed next to each object. If Content Manager OnDemand encounters an error, a message is listed next to the object. If Content Manager OnDemand encounters an error and you did not select the Ignore Warnings checkbox, the object is not exported and the process stops. If Content Manager OnDemand encounters an error and you selected the Ignore Warnings checkbox, the object is exported and the next object in the list is processed.
If the object exists on the destination server, the export fails.
If you selected more than one object, you can click Stop at any time to stop exporting objects. The Stop command does not affect objects already exported (marked with a status of completed).
After the export process is completed or stopped, you can click Details to open the report window and view additional messages and information about the export process.
Click OK to close the Export window.
