Changes that you can and cannot make to an existing application

You can make the following changes to an existing application:

• Change the name and description of the application
• Alter certain data format properties of the source data
• Enable and disable compression of report data and resources
• Add, change, and remove indexing information, loading information, logical view fields, logical views, and printing options

You cannot change the application group to which the application belongs or the data type of the application.

You cannot change the name of the applications that belong to the System Log and System Migration application groups.
