Sorting the document list
When a document search returns a large number of documents, you might find it useful to sort the documents by a particular field. You can display the sorted results in either ascending or descending order.
About this task
When you search for documents, Content Manager OnDemand displays the results of your search in the Document List. Content Manager OnDemand displays the documents in the order in which they were returned by the server. You can change this order by clicking Sort List. You can also sort the documents by clicking a field, clicking the right mouse button, and selecting either Sort Column Ascending or Sort Column Descending.
You can sort the search results by one or more columns. A simple sort might be ascending alphabetic by account name. For an example of a multi-column sort, you could sort in ascending order first on Account Balance, then Account Name, and finally Date. This would give you a list with the lowest balances first, and within each balance Aaron before Bradley before Calder and so on, and within each balance and account name, the least recent first and the more recent last.
