Deleting a user
About this task
Note: Deleting a user simply removes the user definition from the Content Manager OnDemand database. Deleting a user does not delete the user from UNIX or Windows or delete the IBM® i user profile.
To delete a user, the logon user must be a User Administrator or a System Administrator. A user with Create Users authority can delete the users that they created, so long as they remain an administrator for the user. A User Administrator can delete users and user administrators.
Procedure
- Select and expand the library server.
- Select Users.
- In the Name list, right-click the user name.
- From the pop-up menu, select Delete to open the Delete window.
- Content Manager OnDemand requests that you confirm your choice before deleting the user. Choose the Yes command to delete the user. Choose Cancel to close the Delete a User window and not delete the user.
- If you selected more than one user name, choose Yes to All to delete all of the users from the database.
