Deleting a user

About this task

Note: Deleting a user simply removes the user definition from the Content Manager OnDemand database. Deleting a user does not delete the user from UNIX or Windows or delete the IBM® i user profile.

To delete a user, the logon user must be a User Administrator or a System Administrator. A user with Create Users authority can delete the users that they created, so long as they remain an administrator for the user. A User Administrator can delete users and user administrators.

Procedure

  1. Select and expand the library server.
  2. Select Users.
  3. In the Name list, right-click the user name.
  4. From the pop-up menu, select Delete to open the Delete window.
  5. Content Manager OnDemand requests that you confirm your choice before deleting the user. Choose the Yes command to delete the user. Choose Cancel to close the Delete a User window and not delete the user.
  6. If you selected more than one user name, choose Yes to All to delete all of the users from the database.
