Deleting a storage node

About this task

Note about IBM® i servers: Add, Update, and Delete operations for storage nodes have been disabled on IBM i servers. A storage node is created, updated and deleted as the result of actions performed on the migration policy with the same name in IBM Navigator for i.

Note about migration storage nodes: The administrative client can be used to view storage nodes that were created during migration from OD/390 V2, OD/390 IAFC, and OD/400 Spool File Archive.

Note: In general, you should never delete a storage node. If you delete a primary storage node that is assigned to a secondary storage node, then Content Manager OnDemand does not automatically delete the secondary storage node. If one or more primary storage nodes are assigned to a secondary storage node, then you cannot delete the secondary storage node. Before you delete a secondary storage node, you should display the Storage Nodes list to make sure that no primary storage nodes are assigned to the secondary storage.

The logon user must be a system administrator to delete a storage node.
