Application general options

Name
The name of the application. IBM recommends that you adopt a convention for naming applications, such as the name of the program that created the source data, the name on the DD statement associated with the source file, and so forth.
Description
Descriptive information about the application. You can type up to 120 bytes of descriptive information.
Application Group
The name of the application group to which the application belongs. Make sure that the application group that you select supports the storage management and data indexing requirements of the input data. The default value is *UNASSIGNED. Choose the Select command to open the Application Groups window. The Application Groups window lists the application groups that are defined to the library server. You must select an application group before you proceed with defining and adding the application.
Identifier
If the application group you select supports more than one application, then this list contains the values that are used to identify applications (source of data) within the application group. Otherwise, Content Manager OnDemand does not display the Identifier list.
