Viewing notes
Notes enable you to add comments to a document. You view notes attached to a document by using the View Notes command.
About this task
To display or view a note:
Procedure
- Click Notes > View Notes.
- To add a note to a document when the Notes window is active, click Add Note.
- Type your comment in the Add a Note window.
- Click either Public, Private to user, or Private to group depending on whether you want other users to be able to read the note or not. If you select Public anyone will be able to read the note. Private to user means that only you can read the note. Private to group means that only those users you select from the dropdown list will be able to read the note.
- Optional: ClickNote can be copied to another server if you want to be able to copy the note to another server.
- Click Save. Important: When you save a note, you cannot change it. You should check the contents of your note carefully before you save it.

Content Manager OnDemand displays a note mark (a yellow 'document' icon) in the first column of the Document List to indicate that a note was saved for that document. Click Options > Document Page Note Marks to specify how you want note marks to be displayed.
