Archived storage manager

The archived storage manager (ASM, initiated by using the Start Archived Storage Management (STRASMOND) command) is the interface to the archive media (typically cloud storage, disk pools, optical, or tape). The archive storage manager maintains a backup or long-term copy of documents. Before loading documents, you must define storage sets and migration policies, and the corresponding objects associated with them, such as cloud storage resources, disk pool definitions, optical storage groups, optical volumes, tape devices, and tape volumes. The archive storage manager can delete documents after they exceed the retention period specified in the migration policy levels and reach the expiration level. See Removing documents for more information.
