Developing REST applications with REST Services
The Content Manager OnDemand REST (representational state transfer) Services allow you to develop applications that can access Content Manager OnDemand data by using HTTP-based APIs.
These applications can perform fundamental client operations, including:
- Listing Content Manager OnDemand folders that are defined to the server
- Listing Content Manager OnDemand folder definitions
- Listing Content Manager OnDemand application groups that are defined to the server
- Listing a Content Manager OnDemand application group definition including all application group fields and whether or not they are updateable
- Listing generic transforms that are currently defined to the server
- Searching for Content Manager OnDemand documents with folder criteria
- Searching for Content Manager OnDemand documents with SQL
- Retrieving documents in either the document’s original format or a converted format that has been transformed by using the Content Manager OnDemand Web Enablement Kit (ODWEK) generic transform interface
- Storing documents to the Content Manager OnDemand server
- Updating metadata for documents currently stored
- Deleting a document from the Content Manager OnDemand server
Note: REST Services must be deployed on a Content Manager OnDemand for Multiplatforms server, but
