Changing passwords

In order to log onto Content Manager OnDemand, you must have a user ID and a password. You can change your password at any time.

About this task

It is likely that your Content Manager OnDemand administrator has created a password for new user accounts. To maintain security, you should change this password to something unique the first time you log onto Content Manager OnDemand. Your Content Manager OnDemand administrator may have also configured your system so that your password will expire after a certain amount of time. To avoid being locked out of Content Manager OnDemand, you should change your password when you first receive the warning that your password is about to expire.

To change your password:

Procedure

  1. Select File > Change Logon Password.
  2. In the Current Password field, enter your existing password.
  3. In the first New Password field, enter the new password that you have chosen. For security Content Manager OnDemand displays asterisks ('*') instead of the characters you type.
  4. In the second New Password field, retype your new password. Content Manager OnDemand requires you to enter the new password twice to ensure that you have entered it correctly. If the two do not match, Content Manager OnDemand requires you do type it over again.
  5. Click OK.
