Updating baseline forecast

The baseline tab is where you can view and analyze the generated baseline forecast. It is also where you can update it if you wanted to pull in latest actuals or modify the forecast generation parameters. When you update the baseline forecast, Cloudability Financial Planning will regenerate the forecast using the latest actuals and any changes to the forecast generation parameters.

Note that updating the baseline will not affect any adjustment line items and only Plan Owners can update the baseline.

The following table describes the index of numbers in the previous screen:

1 Cost Ownership This filter as a drop-down selector is used to filter forecast contents by cost ownership. Multiple cost owner values can be selected/ applied. Selection applies to all pages (sections) in the plan.
2 Baseline forecast line items These values are not editable. Use the Adjustment tab to make edits to baseline forecast line items.

3 Plan actions menu These are able actions only available to Plan Owners.
  1. Update Baseline: This action opens a drawer that allows you to re-generate and update the baseline with the latest actuals.
  2. Import Plan - Import the baseline forecast from a CSV file.
  3. Export Plan - Export the baseline forecast to a CSV file.
