Cloudability Reports and Dashboards FAQ

Can I create a report or widget with monthly columns of data in a table?

In Cloudability Reports time periods (such as months) are presented as rows, not columns, so you cannot create report or widget with months as columns. However, Apptio BI, a platform that provides consistent reporting and information sharing capabilities across Apptio products, does support this feature. If you don't already have access, please contact your administrator for assistance.

My colleague shared this dashboard with me, why does it look different when I look at it than when they look at it?

When a user shares a Dashboard with another user in Cloudability , it may look different because users are viewing the dashboard through different Cloudability Views. To share the dashboard and ensure the recipients see the same data, click Share at the top right of the dashboard, select Include Current View , and copy the URL. This action appends the URL with the View and ensures the recipient user has access to the intended View used on the dashboard.

Can I create a widget showing EBS Snapshot costs?

Yes, it is possible to create a widget showing EBS Snapshot cost. We recommend using Apptio BI, which is a platform that provides consistent reporting and information sharing capabilities across Apptio products. If you don't already have access, contact your administrator for assistance. You can locate this data within the EBS | Rightsizing page of the AWS | Resource Optimization report in Apptio BI.

Can we create a report for data within a bucket?

Cloudability does not have access to the data within any resource, whether it's an S3 bucket, RDS, or any other service. Hence, it's not possible to create a report for data within a S3 bucket.

Can we build report showing instances running in different time zone (time zone specific)?

In Cloudability Report or Apptio BI, you can create a report using Region or Availability Zone dimension to display where the instance is deployed, allowing you to view it across different time zones.
