Cloudability Tag your cloud spend

Why do you use tagging/mapping?

Along with using Linked Accounts to keep a clear line between AWS resources, tags help you to allocate who owns which resources and the costs that are associated with them. For more information, see Consolidated Billing for Organizations . Without tags, it is difficult to know who owns a particular resource and what its purpose may be. Cloudability allocates these tagged items. It can also be used to find things that aren't tagged or can't be tagged.

How does utilizing Tag mapping improve the Cloudability experience?

The Tag Mapping feature lets you take multiple versions of what should be a single tag and map them to one dimension so you can make sure you're getting all the data that applies to the resources. By using Tag Mapping, small variations like Environment , environment , Environement , or Environmnet all get mapped correctly.
