IBM Workload Automation Agent
IBM® Workload Automation provides leading-edge solutions to problems in production workload management. It can automate, plan, and control the processing of your enterprise's entire production workload. In the network managed by IBM Workload Automation, the Agent (Dynamic Agent component) is the installed component that enables jobs and job streams to be run on a computer defined as a workstation in the Workload Automation database.
The Dynamic Agent can run:
- Classic job types, like DoCommand and scripts.
- Job types with advanced options. These include both those supplied with the product (for example, DB2®, file transfer, Cognos®, and web services) and the additional types that are implemented through plug-ins (for example, InfoSphere DataStage, Salesforce, Hadoop, Amazon EC2, IBM SoftLayer, and Microsoft™ Azure).
For more information about Dynamic Agent see IBM Workload Scheduler V9.4 documentation .
IBM Workload Automation Agent provides the following options:
- Dynamic Agent - Developer Edition, which is a no charge version
- Dynamic Agent - Production Edition, which is a fee-based version
