Open Enterprise SDK for Python 3.10

IBM® Open Enterprise SDK for Python is an industry-standard Python interpreter for IBM zSystems. It brings a powerful framework for building fast and scalable applications to the z/OS® platform. IBM Open Enterprise SDK for Python 3.10 is the follow-on release to Open Enterprise SDK for Python 3.9 and is based on the open-source Python 3.10 community release. It includes a number of enhancements.

What's new in IBM Open Enterprise SDK for Python 3.10:

  • Support for storing and retrieving tagging information from tar archive files generated with pax and extended USTAR headers.
  • tar archives generated with the tarfile utility in Python 3.10 are compatible with the pax and tar tools on z/OS.
