Updating z/OS endpoints

There might be situations in which you need to update the configuration of a z/OS® endpoint. To update a z/OS endpoint configuration, you can use the z/OS Cloud Broker user interface.

Important: When you update a z/OS endpoint configuration, existing suboperators and suboperator instances that are associated with the endpoint are automatically reconciled. The reconciled suboperators and suboperator instances automatically detect and use the updated z/OS endpoint variables.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the z/OS Cloud Broker instance that contains the z/OS endpoint you need to update. (See Logging in to z/OS Cloud Broker.)

  2. In the z/OS Cloud Broker navigation pane, select Manage z/OS endpoints.

    Import operator collections link

  3. On the "Configure z/OS endpoints" page, select the z/OS endpoint whose configuration you need to update.

  4. In the z/OS Endpoint configuration section on the endpoint details page, if needed, click Edit and edit the configuration for the z/OS endpoint as follows:

    • Variable type: Select from possible values String, Boolean, or Integer.
    • Value: Enter a value appropriate to the variable type selected.
    • Secure variable: Switch to Secure if you want to hide the variable value in a read-protected, write-only state. Note that this value cannot be unhidden after your z/OS endpoint configuration is submitted.

Note: The configuration for the existing secured variable cannot be changed. To edit it, it is recommended to delete the existing variable and create a new one.

  6. In the Variables (optional) section on the endpoint details page, if needed, click Edit and select Add variable. Specify values for your new variable configuration as follows:
