Customizing the console branding

As an administrator, you can customize the console with your company's branding. You can customize the name that is displayed in the console, and use a custom logo, browser icon, home page and login image.

Before you begin

Required permissions

To customize the branding of the console, you must have one of the following permissions:

About this task

Product name

If you change the product name in the console, the custom name is used throughout the console. For example, the custom name is used on the home page and on the banner of every page in the console.

If you upload a logo, the logo is displayed in the welcome section of the home page.

Browser icon

If you upload a browser icon, the icon is displayed on the console tab in the browser.

Home page image

If you upload a home page image, the image is displayed on the console home page.

Login image

If you upload a login image, the image is displayed upon login.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the console.

  2. From the navigation menu, select Administration > Customizations.

  3. Click Branding.

  4. To use a custom name, select the Custom name option under Product name and enter the name that you want to use in the console.

    • The name must be 40 characters or less.
    • The product name cannot include the following characters: <, >, /, \, ', (, ), or -.

  1. To use a custom logo, select Use your own logo and drop a JPG or PNG file or browse for a file to upload as the home page logo.

    • You can supply a JPG or PNG file.
    • The image is re-sized to fit in a 512 px × 512 px space.
    • The image must be 500 KB or less.

  2. To use a custom browser icon, select Use your own icon and drop a JPG or PNG file or browse for a file to upload as the browser icon.

    • You can supply a JPG or PNG file.
    • The image is re-sized to fit in a 512 px × 512 px space.
    • The image must be 500 KB or less.

  3. To use a custom home page image, select Use your own image and drop a JPG or PNG file or browse for a file to upload as the home page image.

    • You can supply a JPG or PNG file.
    • The image must be less than 500 KB for best results, though the limit for an image is 20 MB.

  4. To use a custom login image, select Use your own image and drop a JPG or PNG file or browse for a file to upload as the login image.

    • You can supply a JPG or PNG file.
    • The image must be less than 500 KB for best results, though the limit for an image is 20 MB.

  5. Click Apply.

If you want to remove your customizations, click Restore defaults.
