Get a quick overview of what is changed, deprecated, or removed in foundational services version 4.0.x.
Deprecated services and features
The following services are removed from foundational services version 4.0.x onwards:
- Management ingress (
ibm-management-ingress-operator) - Nginx ingress (
ibm-ingress-nginx-operator) - Audit logging (
ibm-auditlogging-operator) - Serviceability (MustGather tool that was deployed as a part of the
ibm-healthcheck-operator) - Crossplane (
ibm-crossplane-operator,ibm-crossplane-provider-kubernetes-operator,ibm-crossplane-provider-ibm-cloud-operator) - SecretShare (The SecretShare operator that was used to provide compatibility with earlier versions of foundational services)
- Identity management UI
- Webhook (
ibm-common-service-webhook) - Cloudctl (
ibm-platform-api) - Monitoring dashboards (Existing adopters must move to IBM Instana or community Grafana operator)
- System Healthcheck service (
ibm-healthcheck-operator) - Red Hat Marketplace operator (
redhat-marketplace-operator) - User Data Services is deprecated and not supported for foundational services.
Changed services
License Service Reporter is migrated to a new catalog to support multi-instance Cloud Paks. Therefore, License Service Reporter is not available for foundational services version 4.0 release.
