Notifications

Your administrator can configure the application to send system or email notifications to alert you when a specific condition occurs. For example, you might receive a notification if you are added to a case.

Your administrator can configure two different types of notification.

System notifications

System notifications are displayed in the IBM Security QRadar Suite application interface. Your administrator determines the conditions for which users receive system notifications. You cannot change or disable the notifications that are configured.

To view system notifications, click the alert icon. A red dot added to the alert icon indicates existing notifications. The following graphic shows an example of system notifications in the application.

Click a notification to go to the case or condition for which the notification was generated.

You must refresh the screen to receive new notifications. A maximum of 25 system notifications are displayed at one time, with the newest at the top of the list. If 25 notifications are displayed, you cannot view older notifications unless you close some of the notifications currently displayed.

Email notifications

Email notifications are sent to your email address. Your administrator might configure the system to send email notifications for conditions that are different to those for which you receive system notifications.
