Delete a workspace

You can delete workspaces, including the workspace that was included out-of-the-box. Before deleting a workspace, make sure that there is at least one other workspace created on the system and that there are not any incidents or cases (open or closed) assigned to the workspace. If you want to delete the default workspace, you must first designate another workspace as the default.

About this task

You might not be able to delete a workspace if there is a dependency on a rule, script or workflow. If there is any dependency on the workspace that you are trying to delete, a message is displayed on the interface to indicate this.

To delete a workspace:

Procedure

  1. Go to Administrator Settings > Workspaces.
  2. Click the delete icon for the workspace that you want to delete. Review the message that is displayed. If there are incidents assigned to the workspace, you cannot proceed with the deletion. You must re-assign the cases or incidents to another workspace and try again.
  3. Click Delete Workspace to confirm the removal of the workspace.
