Configuring permissions for users in Standard accounts only

To configure permissions for SOAR MSSP analysts who have access only to Standard accounts, create one or more groups in the Standard account, assign roles to the group, and add users to the groups.

Before you begin

The users must already be added to the SOAR application in the Standard account using the Refresh user list option on the Users tab from Application settings > Case Management > Permissions and access.

To configure these permissions, you must be a member of a SOAR group in the Provider account that has permissions to manage SOAR permissions. Typically, this group has the Master Administrator role assigned.

About this task

You can configure permissions specific to a Standard account by creating a group in the Standard account and configuring roles that determine the permissions, and then adding users to the group.

Groups created in a Standard account are for that account only.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Standard account for which you want to configure permissions.
  2. From the main menu, click Application settings > Case Management > Permissions and access > Groups and create and configure a group for this Standard account. For more information about groups and creating groups, see Groups.
    Tip: Groups that were created in the Provider account have a provider account icon beside them.
  3. Assign roles that control the permissions for users in this Standard account. For more information about roles, see Roles.
  4. Add the Standard account users to the group, as required.
  5. Click Save.
